Owner and winemaker Samantha (Sam) Connew Samantha is one of the most well-respected figures in the Australian industry. In 2025, she was named the ASVO Winemaker of the Year by the Australian Society of Viticulture and Oenology, an honour that followed her 2023 nomination and Stargazer’s recognition as a finalist for the 2022 Halliday Wine Companion ‘Winery of the Year’.
Our Stargazer tasting room is the perfect setting for a beautiful, guided tasting experience overlooking the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines at the Palisander vineyard in the Coal River Valley. Whether you’re a seasoned enthusiast or just beginning your wine journey, we invite you to sit with us:
- Tutored Tasting Flight: You’ll be seated around our bespoke communal table with other like-minded wine lovers, where you’ll enjoy a selection of current release wines and sometimes other special vinous treats.
- Relaxed Glass & Cheese Pairing: Join us for a glass of your favourite Stargazer wine. We will pair it perfectly with a beautiful local cheese plate. It is the perfect excuse to linger a little longer here in the Coal River Valley. It also includes a $10 voucher to put towards any takeaway bottle you choose.
To ensure an intimate and personal experience, we only have a limited number of spaces. Our guided sessions can accommodate up to twelve people and last approximately one hour. Booking times are available from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 pm on Friday through Monday, and bookings open six months in advance.
Whilst bookings are highly advised for visiting our tasting room, located at 37 Rosewood Lane, Tea Tree, in the Coal River Valley, we welcome walk-ins (subject to capacity). If you do find yourself in the area, please feel free to give us a call on 0473 668 494 and we’ll accommodate you if we can.
To confirm your visit, full payment of $35 per guest is required at the time of booking. For our Constellation Club, Palisander Club, and Explorer Club members, your tastings are complimentary.
