Stargazer is the Coal River Valley wine label of acclaimed winemaker Samantha Connew, with a tasting room overlooking the Palisander vineyard at Tea Tree.

Owner and winemaker Samantha (Sam) Connew is one of the most well-respected figures in the Australian wine industry. In 2025 she was named ASVO Winemaker of the Year by the Australian Society of Viticulture and Oenology, an honour that followed her 2023 nomination and Stargazer’s recognition as a finalist for the 2022 Halliday Wine Companion ‘Winery of the Year’.

The Stargazer tasting room overlooks the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines of the Palisander vineyard in the Coal River Valley. Guests can book a tutored tasting flight of current release wines around a bespoke communal table, or a relaxed glass of Stargazer wine paired with a local cheese plate.

Sessions accommodate up to twelve people and last approximately one hour. Bookings are highly advised, though walk-ins are welcome subject to capacity.

At Spring in the Vines

Stargazer's tasting room offers guided tasting experiences overlooking the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines at the Palisander vineyard:

Tutored Tasting Flight: seated around the bespoke communal table with other wine lovers, enjoy a selection of current release wines and sometimes other special vinous treats.
Relaxed Glass & Cheese Pairing: a glass of your favourite Stargazer wine paired with a local cheese plate, including a $10 voucher towards any takeaway bottle.

Sessions accommodate up to twelve people and last approximately one hour. Bookings are highly advised (full payment of $35 per guest at the time of booking; complimentary for Constellation Club, Palisander Club and Explorer Club members).
