OUR VISION

To be a leading advocate and unifying voice for the southern Tasmanian wine region, championing its growth, visibility, and vitality through collaborative events such as Spring in the Vines and Southern Open Vineyards Weekend. We aim to support a thriving, inclusive wine community and enhance Tasmania’s reputation as a premier cool climate wine destination.

OUR MISSION

Wine South is a not-for-profit volunteer committee dedicated to fostering connection, collaboration, and celebration within the southern Tasmanian wine industry. Through the coordination of events and shared initiatives, we bring together vineyards, winemakers, negociants, and wine lovers to showcase the diversity, quality, and uniqueness of our region’s wines.

OUR OBJECTIVES

To promote the premium wine quality of southern Tasmania by celebrating vineyards, producers, and winemakers of all scales, with a particular focus on seasonal releases and distinctive regional characteristics.

To create inclusive events and opportunities that connect the wine industry with local communities, businesses, and visitors from Tasmania, interstate, and beyond.

To champion awareness of what makes southern Tasmanian wine and wine production unique, from terroir to technique.

To support small, new, and emerging producers by providing platforms to share their stories and showcase their wines.

To enhance regional pride and economic outcomes through collaborative, volunteer-led events that celebrate the arrival of spring and the new vintage.

To nurture relationships across the broader Tasmanian wine, food, and creative industries, offering experiences that inspire the senses and deepen appreciation of place.
